THE GREAT AND THE TERRIBLE: CLEAR AS THE MOON

".......in this the beginning of the risiing up and the coming forth of my church out of the wilderness---clear as the moon, and fair as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners."
D&C 5:14

My Sunday Afternoon Sermon!

I just finished the last book in the series "The Great and the Terrible". They were wonderful, and now I always wonder what to read next! I'm excited for Misha and Carie to read, and get their ideas. Carie has had some wonderful thoughts, that have made me really start thinking~ about all the sacrifices we make while living on the earth. Of course, Jesus Christ made the ultimate sacrifice, but like him we are asked, or expected to make sacrifices also. We all knew this prior to coming down to this earth, and accepted the assignments gladly! Another thing these books made me realize is the "voice" that I hear, which tries to keep me from doing the things I know I should be doing. I've always known of course, but it really points out how "he" works on all of us, ALL of the time!
The great love of country brought tears to my eyes several times--I appreciate so much more the sacrifices that our leaders and soldiers have made to not only continue freedom in the United States, but try to bring this wondeful freedom to other countries! Freedom was what the war in Heaven was all about, it is what Satan wants to take away from us, and as any soldier will tell you, it's freedom that other countries want!
OK----enough is enough~

Mallorie Diann

Back in Colorado

We are in beautiful Colorado again, and it's raining! I love it~ Myrle has been out in the dirt getting rid of weeds~ We will head back to AZ tomorrow for Trevor's 2nd birthday. I can't believe he's already 2 and has a "bitty" brother! I've missed my AZ grandkids and their hugs.
We had a wonderful time in Idaho with Misha and Jeremy and the kids! The weather was good, Mallorie's dance recital was so cute, and we hated leaving! It's always so hard to leave when we aren't sure when we'll get to see them again. She and the kids will be going to visit the other grandparents next month in MO.

The Great and the Terrible Series

Idaho

We are in Idaho now visiting with Misha and family. Mallorie has a dance recital on Thurs. So, that's the reason we're here!! Tomorrow we are spending the day in Jackson Hole, WY--Looking forward to seeing Old Faithful, and some bear!! Ha! It should be beautiful there, perfect weather. So hopefully I'll have some pretty pictures to put on my blog~
Meanwhile I've been reading "The Great and the Terrible" by Chris Stewart. I'm on the 5th book, of a series of 6~~~ They are so good, however I've had alot of dreams about the whole deal. They are a little too real. I'm wondering if any of my blogging buddies have read them?? I would love to talk about them with someone other than the lady at the book store~~Guess I need to join a book club~ My family gets so tired of me boring them with my books all the time!!

Gotta Love Jack Handy

Random Deep Thought
"I remember one night I was walking past Mom and Dad's room when I heard them talking about how they might not have enough money to pay their bills that month. I knew what I had to do. I went and got my piggy bank and buried it in the backyard, where they couldn't get their mitts on it.

Trevor Loves his Little Brother!!

The one picture is of Kora and Cole--we took pictures of Storie & Trevor when they were little in the hospital, so we had to do it again. Kora looks huge compared to Cole. Christtina really looked beautiful (She gets prettier the older she gets!) However in this picture, her eyes are closed, but it shows how cute Trevor was with his little brother!!

Cole Trent

We have a new little baby boy. Christtina gave birth to a perfect little boy, weighing 7lbs 5oz--20 !/2 inches long. He has lighter hair, which surprised all of us. But still looks like a much chubbier little Trevor! Christtina did absolutely wonderful during the labor and birth. She was a real trooper, and I told her that it was so easy, she should have "several" more! He's nursing really well-He has some little blisters on his arm and we finally realized they were from him sucking his arm while still inside mommy.
