I always thought by the time you were a grandma, you weren't supposed to worry so much===WRONG--- This past week, Kodi's little guy, Dane had to be rushed to ER==He had been sick and running a fever--at 9:30 Kodi took his temp. it was 100.4 Which isn't too bad--she just held him, then at 9:50 he started having a seizure. His temp was 103--Jeremy called 911, and Kodi made sure Dane didn't swallow his tongue~ By the time 911 arrived, the seizure had stopped but he was lethargic~ They took him to ER, where they did all kinds of tests. As well as giving him medications. Apparently the sudden rise of his fever is what caused the seizure~ Thank goodness Kodi had dealt with this at the hospital. After all my kids, and all the kids I've taken care of through the years, I've never experienced this, nor did I know this could happen. I'm so thankful he's ok now!
And on top of that===Kora is walking now, but she turns one of her little feet out, and walks with a sort of limp--It really looks like one leg is longer than the other, or that perhaps her hip is out of place. Kilee and Dustin took her to the Dr. this week, and he said to give it 6 more months--then see if it's ok---But the grandma/mother in me, says this should be checked out further, and corrected now, while she's learning to walk, and growing. Awww---this is the reason I have to dye my hair!!! Not to mention losing sleep, which causes wrinkles!! Ha!
My Dad is on his way to AZ--It always scares me when he drives that distance. He's having an eye lift next week==Which I think is crazy--But the Dr. has convinced him he needs it, and of course the insurance will pay for it. But I'm not sure I'm ready for him to always looked "surprised".
Trevor & Cole
Yesterday Misha and I went to see Dear John---ohh la la ---We have a new hottie--The movie was very good, of course you can't beat Nicholas Sparks!!
We are in Idaho visiting Misha~ It snowed yesterday, and was supposed to snow more today, but so far none---clear blue skies! We've had fun making watch bands for the inter changeable watches~ Or I should say I've had fun watching Misha make them. I told her I was the money and designer, she was the manufacturer--Ha! She's made 12 now. She made 2 for Mallorie, and 2 for Emmie as well--The little ones are really cute~ We've gone to the Bead Hive every single day for new beads, or clasps, or spacers or something~I found a ton of my mother's old jewelry, with glass beads~ We've taken them apart and used them also. They are so pretty, and unusual~ And it's fun having a little bit of her with us, in the new bands!
Kilee and Christtina keep sending me pictures of the kids, making me miss them, so I'll hurry home! Little Trevor is sick, and Kilee's girls have been coughing. Also Miss Kora is walking, and Storie potty training. Still not sure what day we will return. Every time I mention going back to AZ, Mallorie gets those big tears in her eyes. I've had either Mallorie or Kolby in my bed every night~ I love it! One afternoon, Kolby fell asleep in my UGG boots, we all thought it was so cute. They are really warm and toasty!
Mallorie's dance competition in Ogden was a success! Her dance numbers placed 2nd and 3rd for her age group. Not sure how many dance schools competed but it was a big deal. Two of the judges were from "So you think you can dance". I'm not familiar with the show, so don't know who they are/ other than the program info. It was fun seeing her perform. She's a good little dancer (just like her mommie was). I remember Susan paying Misha when she was a little girl, to dance for her~ Misha loved it--I don't know where the time has gone??
Misha has been busy everyday with piano lessons. She has 14 students now, and I'm amazed at how well they are all learning. She will have a piano recital in the Spring, and all of her students will play movie themes~ Kolby will play star wars, Mallorie will play the theme to Harry Potter~
I read a new book yesterday, by Chad Daybell--He's a wonderful author. Anyway, the book was sooo good, didn't want it to end. It's way too short, but made me cry and laugh. I highly recommend it~
We have about 3 feet of snow in our field~ It is beautiful! The tree branches are all covered, and icicles are hanging from our house! However, I've had to wade through the snow, and brush off our satellite dish numerous times to maintain TV coverage! I've knitted 2 scarfs, played on the internet, and read~ What else do you do when you're snowed in? Myrle went to the mountains with Steve. They went "sledding" and watched super bowl yesterday~ and more sledding today~Next thing Myrle will be wanting a snow mobile~ I'm just not sure I'm up to being out in the snow that much!

My Uncle Mike died on Sunday~ He was my favorite uncle~ He was such an influence on me when growing up. He and my Aunt Carol were the only ones close to me, that had been married in the temple. Uncle Mike was a welder, and worked on the Alaska Pipeline for several years. He would be gone for weeks at a time, and while gone write love letters to my aunt. I always thought it was so cute, she'd read us parts of his letters, then tell us the rest was just for her~ My aunt died 4 years ago, and he's missed her terribly. He had developed "alltimers" and a good deal of the time, didn't know where my aunt was. In fact he thought she'd left him at times~ He had a stroke, and prior to dying, was fully lucid--he talked about how much he missed her, and could hardly wait to see her. My cousin told him, that he was going to receive a lot of grief from my aunt when he joined her, and he said " I know, and I've missed it so much"~ It makes me sad that he's gone, even though I know it's what he wanted. Still it's the end of a generation, and I know that probably my father will be next~ I'm NOT ready for that~ And I'm sure he isn't anxiously waiting to join my mom, since they were divorced~ Awww---Life goes on~
It's Bush's Fault
Ok--We haven't ranted in awhile about our current Prez~ Just watched a video on symbols/advertising that I found really interesting! So, thought I'd post this for everyone to see. Many many years ago I studied advertising & journalism--and have done a lot of research on subliminal messages in advertising--Anyway, so very clever, they are!!
