Emmie's 9 years old!

For Emmie's birthday, Taryn took her to Atlanta, to the American Girls Store~ This is Leslie with Emmie, who has no daughters, and no grand kids yet~~She was ready to buy dolls also~

You bring your doll to the store, have lunch, shop & can have the dolls hair done!

Emmie bought a new doll, Julie, the hippie girl~

These are some of the friends with dolls, that helped celebrate Emmie's birthday~

Alta Lakes, Colorado

This is one of my favorite places on earth! When I was a kid we'd go up here, and I fell in love~ Back then, in the olden days, the little houses left by the miners, were still intact and even had all kinds of old furniture in them--Needless to say the old houses are falling down, and all the old antiques are gone~ These pictures don't really make you realize that you are on top of the world~ The elevation is almost 12,000 ft. So it's HIGH~

There are tons of wild flowers growing up here~ Kilee still remembers Myrle hiking up this area, and picking me a bouquet of flowers~ She was just little~We took a small motor home up here & camped once~ The road is very narrow & scary! There were places, the kids & I got out~ It is good that we didn't meet anyone on the road, it would have been impossible to pass or back up~

Lake on top of the world~

The reason there are no trees on the mountains in the background is that, it is above timberline~ Too high to grow anything~

When the kids were small we camped right near the lake--NOT A SINGLE soul was up there--it was great~ It was a really unknown place, until all these trail bikers and hikers came along~This lake is a natural spring fed lake==No fish or anything in it~

Kilee & Jessa

Jessa & Kilee have been friends for several years~ Jessa is Kilee's Colorado friend--It worked out so perfectly, when they met they were instant friends~ They were both home schooled, so whenever we were in Colorado, they could hang out, and travel~Jessa's family is wonderful, and we still enjoy them whenever we're in Colorado~

They always had fun doing goofy things!

Kilee & Dusty will be having their anniversary next month, so I've been feeling a little sad~ Where did the time go? Kilee & Dusty have 2 little girls now, and Jessa is married with a little baby boy of her own now. Kilee & Jessa are still good friends~ It's funny how friendships work--Kilee & Jessa have more in common now, that they are mommies! I find that with some of my good friends, the older we get the better friends we are, just because we've experienced life a little more! I do so treasure my friendships~ I hate losing contact with people who I loved and shared so many things with. I have a few friends, who I've lost total contact, due to divorces, moves etc. Keep thinking that in today's world, it really isn't hard to find lost friends--But there are still some I would love to find again~
Awww---life it does go on & on & on--Meanwhile, I'm thankful for all my dear friends who mean so much to me: Karen, Cathy, Kathy, Susan, Judy, Penny, Renea, & Elaine to name a few~
Now Jessa is a mommy, and this is her sweet baby boy, Anson~

Trenton

Trenton is now 11 yrs old! I don't know how he got to be so old~ This delicious cake picture might be the reason I've been craving chocolate all day~

When we were in CA, Helen bought me some stuff to grow lashes/brows--Well, Myrle promptly started using it---and it works!!! HA! Actually we do see some new eyebrows, but they're blond--So I may have to tint them a little when I do my hair next time!! ha!

Arizona Tornados

This is what our sky looks like from my front door~ a little like a tornado in the works~It's getting cold in Colorado, Aspen is supposed to have snow tonight!!

When Christtina got back to AZ her chickens had finally laid some eggs! She was thrilled! After buying all that feed--I think it's cheaper to just buy eggs!

When Christtina drove home, little did she know there were 2 tornados near Tuba City!! It shouldn't surprise us, the wind is always blowing through there!

Scary clouds~

Karter

Karter being made Life, as well as receiving 10 merit badges~so now he'll start working on his Eagle~ He's only 13 years old, so this is great! He's homeschooling this year, taking BYU home study classes, and should be finished with the year in Dec. Karter & I are doing a book club--he & I are reading a war book, discussing it~ Then I'm paying him for answers to questions I ask about the book! We'll see how this works out! He's such a smart kid, I'm proud that he's working hard!

4 Wheeling~

We went to the dry land farm & rode quads~ The weather was perfect--cloudy, a few sprinkles, but just nice!! It's really beautiful out in this area--Myrle's family actually had a homestead out here, many years ago! They no longer grow anything out there, used to grow pinto beans! His brother has some horses out here now~ There is NO ONE out there, so it's the perfect place to ride & ride & ride!!

Trevor looking a little upset, I don't think he was ready to quit!

Christtina & Trevor & Cole on the quad~
Cole took turns riding on all the quads, he did like mine (green ) the best because that's his favorite color!

Cole & Trevor Fishing

Trevor catching his first fish~

Cole catching his first fish~

Christtina and the boys are here in Colorado with us for a visit--Recently my brother talked to a man, who ask him if he knew of any kids that would like to go fishing--He has a pond loaded with Rainbow trout, that need to be caught, cause they'll freeze this winter~ Anyway, I called and arranged a fishing afternoon~ The boys had a ball! They caught 7 or 8 fish, one was 18 inches long, I think Christtina caught it--Anyway these people were so nice~ We visited, and talked, and after fishing we took them back to their house, and they showed us how to clean them~ We cooked 2 up there, on their grill, and brought the rest home and cooked them! Delicious!! Anyway, it was great being able to catch them right away--wish all my other grand kids could have been here with us!!

Trevor had a gun, just in case the fish wasn't dead~ ha!

The Bellinghams, Killians & Taryn & Derik~

Kade looking like "trouble"~

We got back from Salt Lake City yesterday, and I didn't take a single picture of the kids!! We had a wonderful time, shopping & eating! We went to the outlets at Park City, and Gateway shopping~ Met up with one of Jeremy's childhood friends for dinner, and also his aunt and uncle, who are moving to Utah!
We saw my good friend, Cathy Magleby and her husband Paul. Spent the night with them on Monday night and went to the movie "The Help".
Taryn's crew went to VA and had all kinds of fun on the River James~ So, I have pictures of them!
