We're in Colorado, and it's snowing!! I do love it when I don't have to be out in it~ Just watching those big flakes slowing drift to the ground is so peaceful to me!
Meanwhile, my Dad is back from CA and falling all over the place! I had to try to pick him up off the garage floor this morning--Not an easy thing to do. Then he cleaned up, after I finally got him up--and went to the Elks Club--and promptly fell when he got out of the car--had to call my brother to come out there, and pick him up! He'd fallen between two cars, and had to wait at least 20 minutes for my brother to get out there--no doubt the snow on the ground didn't help~He came back with a big slash in his head==bleeding all over the place! He's just getting weaker and weaker--but determined to go off his medication, that he has to have to live! It doesn't seem to matter what we tell him---Part of the problem is his short term memory--He seems to forget how well he was doing when he was on the right dosage of medications. Then he tells everyone that he "caught" diabetes-- Which he really doesn't have, but talks his quack doctor into giving him meds for! Camille, he's never even had to do the sugar tests you did! He likes having us here in Colorado--so we can pick him up I guess ~ when he falls! He's pretty grouchy--and cusses a lot!! Not used to that from him.
I'd much rather take care of children than adults! And it's just sad to see my dad in this shape--I really feel helpless!

David

The other day I went to a garage sale, and spotted a statue/sculpture of David= After going to Italy, and seeing the real thing, I decided to buy it! Mostly for a joke--who really wants a male statue sitting around for the grand kids to see?? Anyway, the garage sale was a woman who lived up on Camelback mountain, in a 7,000 sq ft house/ and had tons of designer clothing/ shoes etc. So I'm thinking perhaps this statue might be worth something-- It's signed on the back--the carved hair on the statue is very sharp--looks different than the statues I've pulled up on the internet...So, I don't know where to go from here. Antique Roadshow??

Josi Kilpack

I was up until 2 am reading === I'm hooked on Josi Kilpack. I've read all her Culinary Mysteries---waiting for her new one to come out in March. But last night I read "Sheep's Clothing" It was all about an internet predator--It was amazing--I couldn't put it down.

Taryn Surprised Everyone!
Taryn flew in for the weekend to see her big brother, Helen, and kids! She hadn't seen Nolan, and it'd been awhile since she'd seen Anabeth! It was great--she surprised EVERYONE! After surprising Kevin & Helen, we called to have Kilee meet us at Target, to shop for Anabeth's birthday--Taryn slipped up, and pinched Kilee's butt! Kilee was so surprised. Then we went to Tina's and she went to their front door--and surprised her--then when they came over that night, Tina hadn't told Phillip, so she got to surprise him too! I hated having Taryn leave today! And then tomorrow Kevin will go back to CA--I just hate goodbyes! I try to be strong, but after everyone leaves, I crash!! It just rips my heart out to have my kids so far away! I just wish everyone was close, so we could always share special events! And of course we never know when we'll have a special event! Awww--so much for my whining! It was a wonderful start for the new year!
Anabeth's Birthday!
I think Anabeth was a little overwhelmed with all the people and gifts!
