Colorado

We've been in Colorado for a week, and it's beautiful. I can't believe how much snow is in our field. It's really high! Still the darn prairie dogs keep popping their little heads out to see if it's melted. Dad has shot several!! Fortunately they haven't been put on the ESL (endangered species list) Ha!! PaPa sees them pop their heads out, and Dad comes running with his shot gun--It's funny, but so far they seem to outwit both of them!
Dad has been painting my bedroom, and office. It's a beautiful green, Tennessee Haze!! He's also spilt paint on the office floor 3 times!!! The Hoover Carpet Cleaner has been amazing! I may invest in it's stock, if Myrle keeps painting!!
I'm missing Storie, and Trevor! Tina is good to keep pictures posted! However Kilee just makes me want to come home to see Storie!
Taryn and Derik came home from the cruise today~well she was almost home, she was waiting for a flight out of Atlanta, after theirs had been cancelled due to bad weather. Bailee said the kids missed them, and cried every once in awhile. I know Emmie will be thrilled to have her mommy home again.
We got to see Anabeth on the computer tonight, I can't believe she is 6 weeks old today, and how much she's grown. Helen has posted lots of new pictures~so make sure you check out her blog. You can see all her cute little rolls! Awww--Kevin and Helen are so hooked on this little precious one--It's great to see that at last!
Attended our ward today, and got to see my old friend Renea and her husband Larry. They were the speakers, so it was fun hearing them talk. She was such a sweet friend. No one ever said anything negative about her--she was just one of those girls! We sang "I Stand All Amazed" which you all know is my funeral song, and it made me cry, so it was a nice spiritual church meeting. Reminded me of so many years ago, when I played the flute to that song in Sac. meeting! I was soooo YOUNG!
We still aren't sure when we'll return to AZ. Steve plans to take Dad on the snowmobiles up at his cabin, so Dad doesn't want to miss out on that~They have to actually ride the snow cats into the property, and snow is up to his deck! Which is really a lot of snow!!

Many of you know that Robert is one of my favorites! Not his politics, but just him as an actor. I've liked him since day one! When I was pg with Misha, I met and got his autograph while eating at Sundance. It is framed and hanging in my family room. He isn't looking too good in this Pic==He's aged a little!!

President Hinckley

Sunday night at 7pm, President Hinckley died in his home with members of his family close by. He was 97 years old~ As much as we will miss him, I know he's happy to be with his beautiful wife, who he missed so much. He has been ready to join her for some time! The church grew so much during his time as prophet. All the beautiful temples that were built while he was serving is amazing! I always looked forward to hearing him speak in Conference, and reading the things he wrote in the Ensign. Wouldn't it have been wonderful to have him for a Grandfather?

Kevin & Anabeth

My Sons!

Only a Mom and Grandma can probably appreciate how wonderful it is to see pictures of her sons holding their very own little babies--Well maybe wives too! I've just waited so long to see this. I always knew they'd be wonderful daddys! Helen is a wonderful mommy, but we do worry a little about her kissing Anabeth too much! Ha! They are both doing a great job at parenting, and I'm really going to hate going back to AZ even though it will be great to see Storie, and Trevor again, not to mention Myrle and the rest of the family! I'm already thinking about when we can come back to CA to see Anabeth! It's so hard to be away from Grandchildren. I miss so much of what's going on.

#10

Finally we have our new baby!! She is absolutely beautiful. We're all excited to get her out of the hospital, and home! Helen did a wonderful job giving birth~ I'm so proud of how strong she was! Kevin didn't pass out, and was a wonderful support for her! I knew he would be, and wouldn't miss the birth of his little girl.
We're off to the hospital again--I will post more when time allows.

Christmas in CA 2007

Christmas was wonderful in CA this year! We enjoyed the dinner prepared by Chef Kevin. It was different not having any little ones around, and I missed all of them! But exciting to be awaiting the birth of Kevin and Helen's little girl. Still waiting for Helen to have a some good labor pains, so we will know it's time!! I'm afraid she won't be a little tax write off this year-Myrle goes back to AZ Monday night, so I'm afraid he's going to miss seeing number 10 grand baby this trip.
It was fun seeing Kodi, Jeremy and of course my Trenton! He's grown a foot, and has really learned a lot since I saw him last. Myrle and I shed a few tears when they left for Oregon.
I'm already thinking of next Christmas, and wondering where we will spend it. I would like to spend it in AZ and actually decorate my house again. It's been two years without a tree!
It was a wonderful year! Two new grand babies, visits from Taryn and kids, Misha and twins, Kodi and Trenton. Lots of trips to Colorado, and time with PaPa, and finally his health improvement. I was afraid that 2007 might be the year I would lose my Dad. So, I've been blessed!

I stole pictures from Misha's blog/ but I thought they were wonderful pictures! Just love my Mac, and the ability to drag pictures.
I'm waiting for pictures of the other family members.
I'm counting down the days until I go to Kevin and Helen's--however it dawned on me today, how long I'm going to be away from Storie and Trevor. They'll be toddlers when I return!! I will miss them!
Mallorie can hardly wait to know what Kevin and Helen's baby's name will be! She asks every time I talk to her!
