New Moon

Lastnight I went to New Moon with Christtina & her sister! I liked this movie much better than the first. It had alot more action and alot more Jacob! ha!

Kevin, Helen & Anabeth were here last week~ Which was wonderful. Anabeth is growing up so fast, it's hard not getting to see her more often. She loved her cousins. She thought Trevor was a crack up--everything he did made her laugh. We had fun shopping, and going out to dinner~ Anabeth has her own language--it's a jibberish thing, and boy can she talk--or at least she thinks she's talking~ Kevin and Helen are going to have fun once she really catches on. The other day Kilee spoke the "jibberish" to Storie, and Storie said " Mommie you Anabeth talk". Anyway, Anabeth is a beautiful little girl, reminds me so much of her Daddy!

Finally got pictures of our little flapper~ The dress looks big to me~ I hate it when they aren't here for me to measure, when I'm sewing! Taryn kept telling me I needed to come there and make it! Anyway, she looks darling!

Baby Boy Quilt

Today I finished the quilt for the baby boy, I mentioned in my earlier post. Christtina was the only one who called to find out who was pg~ I had fun making her guess who it might be! Actually the quilt is for Karen's newest grandson, not yet born! I think it looks nice with my red leather chair!

It's just perfect here in Colorado. The skies are blue, and the weather is wonderful. Myrle and I went to a garage sale this morning~ They had Artic Cat 4-wheelers for sale. But they were over priced, and they looked pretty rough~ Plus we want bigger ones, these were only 400's. Not sure when we're going to back to AZ--I hear tell, the weather is getting hot this weekend~ Wish everyone could just come up here and visit us~

Halloween Costumes!

I've been busy sewing. Today I made Emmie a flapper dress~ Just let me tell you what should have taken me an hour ended up an all day event. This fabric, was sticky--every time my sewing machine needle went through the fabric, the needle was sticky, & I'd have to clean it off with nail polish remover!! I know I've seen ladies dresses made from this fabric, so I don't know how in the world they do it. Most I've seen are very expensive~ perhaps this is why! Finally I got out my glue gun & glued on the fringe! A couple weeks ago I made Mallorie a bridal gown~ It turned out really cute! Need to get pictures with her in it! Storie is going to be a witch, & wear a little witch dress I made for my girls many years ago. Kora is going to be a kitty, Trevor & Cole are going to be Harry Potters! Not sure about the rest of the grand kids!
Tomorrow I plan to start a baby quilt for a certain person having a little baby boy!

Fall in Colorado

Myrle & I drove around today, and looked at the turning leaves. I love the red ones~ We also went out to the old farm, where he grew up, and looked around. The trees have the most beautiful dark red apples on them! I didn't take any pictures out there~
Meanwhile, we are trying to get his birth certificate~ What a mess. Apparently his was never sent into the state for registration. I'm sure none of his brothers, or sister were either. Anyway, we had to send to Denver for a "search"--which of course they won't find. Then they'll have to tell us how to prove that indeed he was born in Cortez, Colorado~ This should be very interesting. Needless to say, he is really mad about it, since the Prez doesn't even have one~ The lady at the recorders office was very anti--she was equally mad over the whole deal. I can understand where they must be careful since 9/11 However, if he can get into the Air Force with the document he has from the hospital (complete with a stamped seal) you'd think that would be sufficient to get a legal birth certificate! Oh well---it all keeps life interesting!
