Kodi was a bridesmaid!

This weekend Kodi was a bridesmaid for one of her friends in Oregon! She came for her visit to get her dress for this wedding! Dress was beautiful, and Dane loved the bride. Also Miss Meryn was the prettiest!

They all went home yesterday afternoon, so I've been upset and depressed all day. Mostly I've slept~ It was a wonderful visit. Meryn is just the chubbiest little girl, and smiles all the time. Dane said his heart was broken when he got home last night. Wants to ask Santa for his family for Christmas. They just love being around family, and cousins. He and Cole got along great~ It was fun to watch them play. We went to the Musical Instrument Museum. It was so much fun. Just amazing huge place~ Uncle Kendall came from WI to see everyone. He's a really interesting man~ Mr Talan is very happy, in his sunglasses! Not sure why! Miss all of them..!! Trenton and Kolby and Mallory had lots of fun~ I love that they are such close cousins ~

Tomorrow is the Day!!

Tomorrow at this time, I will be at the airport, picking up Kodi and the family, and loving on Miss Meryn~ I can hardly wait!

3 days!!

I'm counting down days! Can hardly wait to get my arms around Meryn..and of course, Trenton & Dane too~ But mostly Meryn..so afraid she won't get to know me, then they'll be headed back~ I hate this..Wish so badly that they lived here in AZ~

Trevor's Pinewood Derby

Trevor had his first Pinewood Derby, and won 2nd place! He was so thrilled. He jumped up and down, and gave everyone high 5"s. So glad he is in scouts now~

Kodi is coming home!

Kodi and family will be here in AZ on Feb 11th. We're counting down the days! So eager to get my hands on Meryn. I have diapers, lotion, body wash and a complete wardrobe waiting for her, so Kodi doesn't even have to bring anything! Ha! Trenton is excited ..he can hardly wait to see the twins, and eat out every single meal. Ha! They don't have much to choose from in Klamath Falls! ha! Dane will enjoy all his cousins, and he especially enjoys Miss Mallory~ ha!

The Mays

So sad when I look back at old pictures~ Mike and Susan were our good friends who we first met in Albuquerque, New Mexico, when Myrle was going to College. We were in the same wonderful ward, and Susan and I were both counselors in RS and Myrle and Mike were counselors in Sunday School. They eventually moved back to AZ, where they were from, as we did. We continued our friendship. She had Candy in Albuquerque, and I had Kevin~ She went on to have 3 more babies, and I went on to have 5 more. We had family home evenings together, trips together, holiday dinners and just lots of fun~ Eventually her husband Mike cheated on her and they divorced. It was awful~ we were all shocked~ She has since remarried to a wonderful man, and we remain good friends, but it just isn't the same! Sad what divorce does to family and friends~

Taryn's Birthday

Taryn will be 40 years old tomorrow~ Can't believe I have a 40 yr old! ha! Never will I forget how happy I was when I got pg with her, and then gave birth to my little girl. We had tried for 5 years to have another baby, after Kevin. She was a beautiful baby girl and has grown up to be a beautiful mommy, wife and daughter! Miss her so much. Wish they lived closer~

Halloween many years ago!

Found an old picture of Misha, Kodi and Phillip at Halloween! Sometimes I look at these old pictures, and have a hard time remembering when my kids were this little..oh how I miss those days! Love them all so much!

Gerald Lund

Finished these two books, now have to wait for the 3rd one to be written and come out. I have no idea how long this will take..hate when I have to wait~ Guess I should wait until the whole series has been written. The books are typical Lund, wonderful! I always learn so much when I read his historical fiction. These are World War 1, which I really didn't know much about, except that once again it was the Germans!!

I'm missing my Meryn today! Kodi calls a lot, and I get to hear her talk or sometimes cry, but it isn't the same as getting to snuggle with her, and sniff her! She's smiling at Dane. He can always entertain her~ Kolby was that way with Harrison. He could jump around and always make him laugh.

Final 2015 post

Well, 2015 is almost over. It's been a wonderful year! 2 new little grand babies always make it special. We have been so blessed. Our health seems to be good, and all of our wonderful children and grandchildren are happy and growing. Eager to see what will happen in 2016!!

Gifts

My favorite gift was the one, Myrle had framed and matted for me. It's a picture I found in Mom's stuff after she died. I had no idea where she got it, but it was signed, and I loved it. It of course has an Indian on a horse, with the Ute Mountain in the background. I finally found out that the artist is from Cortez, and died in 2000. I chatted with one of his daughters today. Myrle whould have loved to have this car for CHRISTMAS ha!

Christmas 2015

I need to sort through more pictures. Kevin and Helen and the kids were here for Christmas, which was so wonderful. We enjoyed Anabeth and Nolan so much. However, I didn't get many pictures of them. Anabeth thought she was just as big as cousin, Mallorie. Elliot in his bows~ So cute. Phillip's kids were sick a lot of the time, so we didn't get to see them as much. We missed Kodi and her family so much. Miss Meryn"s first Christmas~

December Snows!

We had lots of snow everywhere this year. Kodi had a ton in Oregon. One night they were coming back from Medford, and had to get out and move trees that had fallen on the road. This was a real wet snow, which made the trees really heavy! Christina and Phillip took the boys to Flagstaff to play in the white stuff. We also had a ton at our Colorado house!

Kilee is here!!

We had a special day yesterday~ Went to Manuels for lunch, Dustin's favorite Mexican. And I must say it was very good! Then Misha and kids, and Kilee and kids went to Kneaders, where Santa was visiting. I thinkj they got some really cute pictures. I love the look on Kora's face! He ask her if she wanted her front teeth for Christmas~ And Talan ran right up to him, and gave him a big hug, and told him he wanted a yellow tractor~ Can't believe how long Miss Mallorie's legs are. This will probably be the last year for Mallorie and Kolby to sit on his lap! Sooo sad when they outgrow this whole period of their childhoods.
