Karter & Anna go to Prom
Karter flew into AZ..then we picked him up, he spent the night..then the next day Anna came down from Prescott and we had lunch..then she took him back to Prescott. The next day they drove to Utah, where they went to Prom with Karter's friend, Driggs~ These are the pictures we finally got. Still haven't heard all the details of Prom. I love hearing this stuff. There were 3 couples going to Prom together. The boys were cooking for the girls, instead of going out to dinner~ Sounds like a fun date! Taryn's little boy is gone!!!

Kevin's family
I rarely get pictures of Kevin's kids, let alone a picture of their family. So, I was very pleased to get this one~I can't believe how tall Miss Anabeth is~ and beautiful of course. Nolan reminds me so much of Kevin, when he was little except for the blue eyes..not sure where those came from. He's a cutie..has a little accent I love to hear. Anxious to go see them~
Buster
Buster Karn showed up at Billy's funeral. I was so surprised. It was really good seeing him, and catching up. Showed him lots of pictures of my kids & grandkids~ He told me he would always love me~ and I got a kiss!He looked really good, still has all his hair, which isn't even that gray~But he's shorter than I remembered.

North Carolina trip
Our trip to North Carolina was fun! We loved Taryn's new house! We went to the coast for a few days. Stayed in a hotel right on the beach, in Carolina Beach. But the ocean really isn't very pretty. Very grey~ It was also cold, and rained a lot. We took a ferry to Southport. This is where Nicholas Sparks movie/book Safe Haven took place. It was fun seeing the area. Other movies filmed there, are numerous.
One of our favorite outings was to a restaurant where we had Shrimp/Lobster and grits! It was fabulous The grits were cooled, cut into squares, and then battered and fried! Love the southern cooking!

Mallory & Kolby's birthday
We can't believe these little twins are now 13!! Official teens~ Looking back at these pictures brings back all the worry we had when they were born. This was a new thing for me~ I always had such big healthy babies, as had all my other kids~ I really learned to appreciate the hospital and the staff~ It is a miracle what they can do with these little preemies~ Happy Birthday, We love you both so much~~
Reading
My latest books~ Because reading is about all I do! These books are really good. I just ordered another from this author. I can't believe how the Indians have been treated..always~ They've dealt with broken treaties and promises ever since the white man came to America! Makes me very mad!~ Anyway these books are true, which make them even more interesting.

Kodi's visit!
They all went home yesterday afternoon, so I've been upset and depressed all day. Mostly I've slept~ It was a wonderful visit. Meryn is just the chubbiest little girl, and smiles all the time. Dane said his heart was broken when he got home last night. Wants to ask Santa for his family for Christmas. They just love being around family, and cousins. He and Cole got along great~ It was fun to watch them play. We went to the Musical Instrument Museum. It was so much fun. Just amazing huge place~ Uncle Kendall came from WI to see everyone. He's a really interesting man~
Mr Talan is very happy, in his sunglasses! Not sure why! Miss all of them..!!
Trenton and Kolby and Mallory had lots of fun~ I love that they are such close cousins

Kodi is coming home!
Kodi and family will be here in AZ on Feb 11th. We're counting down the days! So eager to get my hands on Meryn. I have diapers, lotion, body wash and a complete wardrobe waiting for her, so Kodi doesn't even have to bring anything! Ha! Trenton is excited ..he can hardly wait to see the twins, and eat out every single meal. Ha! They don't have much to choose from in Klamath Falls! ha! Dane will enjoy all his cousins, and he especially enjoys Miss Mallory~ ha!
The Mays
So sad when I look back at old pictures~ Mike and Susan were our good friends who we first met in Albuquerque, New Mexico, when Myrle was going to College. We were in the same wonderful ward, and Susan and I were both counselors in RS and Myrle and Mike were counselors in Sunday School. They eventually moved back to AZ, where they were from, as we did. We continued our friendship. She had Candy in Albuquerque, and I had Kevin~ She went on to have 3 more babies, and I went on to have 5 more. We had family home evenings together, trips together, holiday dinners and just lots of fun~ Eventually her husband Mike cheated on her and they divorced. It was awful~ we were all shocked~ She has since remarried to a wonderful man, and we remain good friends, but it just isn't the same! Sad what divorce does to family and friends~
Taryn's Birthday
Taryn will be 40 years old tomorrow~ Can't believe I have a 40 yr old! ha! Never will I forget how happy I was when I got pg with her, and then gave birth to my little girl. We had tried for 5 years to have another baby, after Kevin. She was a beautiful baby girl and has grown up to be a beautiful mommy, wife and daughter! Miss her so much. Wish they lived closer~

Halloween many years ago!
Found an old picture of Misha, Kodi and Phillip at Halloween! Sometimes I look at these old pictures, and have a hard time remembering when my kids were this little..oh how I miss those days! Love them all so much!
Gerald Lund
Finished these two books, now have to wait for the 3rd one to be written and come out. I have no idea how long this will take..hate when I have to wait~ Guess I should wait until the whole series has been written. The books are typical Lund, wonderful! I always learn so much when I read his historical fiction. These are World War 1, which I really didn't know much about, except that once again it was the Germans!!
