Cousin Kay's House
My Cousin lives just a street over from my Aunt Harriet, in Chickasha. She's been working on her house for several years. It's an old home she's restored, and has added a garage, and full size apt. in the back. The addition is over 3500 sq feet--not sure how much is in the original home! But it looks beautiful~ She was in France, at her farm, so we didn't get to see the inside~There are some beautiful old homes in the area. In fact my aunt's is also an old restored one. The trim, woodwork, doorknobs, and all the little cut outs and built in shelves are so neat!!
Oklahoma Farm & Oil Pump
We visited my only aunt in Chickasha, Oklahoma. It was great getting to spend time with her, and catch up. I lived with her my senior year, and went to Camelback High School, which is where I graduated. Anyway, I've always felt really close to her. So it was fun getting to see her. She is 91 years old now~
We went out to my farm, and was surprised to see an oil pump actually pumping!! Last time I was there, a pump was in a different location, and wasn't pumping. This was the farm where my mother was born. There isn't much left of the old house, barn or chicken coop--actually they're in better shape than the house. When we looked in the barn 2 huge white owls flew out~ I've never seen owls so big! Anyway, the old farm brings back a lot of memories. I spent a lot of time there with my grandma when I was young. You could feel the spirits of my grand dad, grandma, mom & her sister there. I think since they were born there, and worked that land--it's just strong there for some reason, I can't begin to explain. But every time I go, I can't help but shed some tears, and miss them terribly.
The location is beautiful, but the wind blows--Can't talk Myrle into building out there--Especially with the tornadoes, which we got to see while there. Five people were killed as a result, and yesterday while driving we saw the aftermath of some of the damage it did~

My Dad Surprised!
These are the pictures of the end results of my Dad's surgery~ He was posing for these pictures, and looks surprised. Normally he doesn't look like that! Anyway, I thought it turned out very nice. Now, I'm looking at my own droopy eyelids, and wondering??? Ummm---Not me~ ha!

My Book Report
Just finished reading a wonderful book--It's called "The Help". I couldn't put it down, and seem to have picked up the accent' of the nigra maids in the book! Great~ Anyway, the book reminded me so much of growing up in the South, and the attitudes I was around while young. One of the little towns we lived in, in Texas had a sign on the outskirts that said "If any niggers are caught in the city limits, after sunset, they will be hung" ! And they were---
It was a different world---and not a good one in so many ways. I was scared to death of "negros"---didn't know why, certainly my parents had no dealings with any--but that was just the way it was. The term "high yellow" was used to describe a 1/2 white child--who wasn't welcome among the blacks nor the whites. A term my Dad just used the other day~ Crazy!
Anyway, if you're interested in reading a good book, I highly recommend this one~

Mexico's Immigration Laws
There has been so much talk about Arizona's "new" Illegal Immigration bill, I just had to add my 2 cents.
Here are the immigration laws in Mexico~
Here are the immigration laws in Mexico~

- have the means to sustain themselves economically;
- not destined to be burdens on society;

- of good character and have no criminal records; and
- contributors to the general well-being of the nation.
- immigration authorities have a record of each foreign visitor;
- foreign visitors do not violate their visa status;
- foreign visitors are banned from interfering in the country’s internal politics;
- foreign visitors who enter under false pretenses are imprisoned or deported;
- foreign visitors violating the terms of their entry are imprisoned or deported;
- those who aid in illegal immigration will be sent to prison.

My Dad's eye surgery~ Not pretty~
My Dad had his eyelids done about 3 weeks ago. So, because those looked so good, he decided to have his bags under the eyes done also~ ( Plus he got a deal from the Dr. Ha!) This is what he looked like today after the surgery. They also resurfaced the area around his eyes. Or in other words they laser burned the skin, so when it's all healed it will look wonderfully young again. I'm wondering if the rest of his face won't need resurfacing after this all heals up!! Now, he says he wants to find a wealthy widow woman to marry!! Great! Just what we need~ Meanwhile, we have to put bags of frozen peas on his eye area every hour or so, keep stuff on the area to keep it moist, soak the area with cold wet clothes, put eye drops in every other hour!! Whew----We hope this all looks great after going through all this~

Disney World
Taryn's family is having their spring break in Flordia~ they have had fun at the water park, and Disney World. The kids did baptisms at the Orlando Temple, as well as other temple work, for names in our family history! I'm sure some of the people on the other side are happy this is finally done!

EASTER
We drove to Colorado on Saturday, and started cooking our Easter dinner. We had it on Saturday night, since Misha & the twins had to leave on Sunday! The kids woke up to find Easter Baskets filled with all kinds of candy, movies, pj's, & underwear! We laugh at Mallorie who doesn't like candy much--she ended up giving most of her stuff to Kolby, especially the chocolate---Which she won't eat!! Crazy girl~
Our North Carolina Klan spent Easter in Atlanta, & are now in Florida! We miss seeing them this time of year. I'm waiting for pictures!
The weather here in CO is awful! I'm ready to come back to AZ where it's nice & warm~ Remind me of this in July~ The wind is howling, & the dirt is so thick you can't see the trees at the back of our property. AND it's supposed to snow tomorrow~ Crazy weather--It's this darn "Global Warming". Ha!

Trenton's Tree house & Misha's visit
Trenton is getting so big~ This is the tree house Jeremy built for him. It's amazing-- These are some of the beautiful forest trees on Kodi's property in Oregon~ It smells wonderful~
Misha and I went to the movie tonight and saw "The Last Song"~ We really enjoyed it, & much better than the book! Which is unusual~Her visit is going way too quick. We haven't got to do all the things we want. Had to take Mallorie to the eye doctor. She needs glasses~ which is apparently pretty common in preemie babies. She was having trouble seeing the white board (what happened to "chalk" boards?) Tomorrow we're all going to the Wildlife zoo---I'm going to be zooed out!! So, hopefully, Christtina, I will get lots of pictures! ha!
