Random, Trevor, Cole, Kora, Anabeth & Elder Killian

Little boys actually loving each other! ha!

This kid is going to kill himself climbing in things~ scares me to death!

Our good friends from North Carolina, Leslie & Richard's son, Lane! He is serving a mission here in Az~ So the other day I brought him some fresh banana bread!

Mr. Cole & Mr. Trevor!

Cole is waiting for the rain--he's dressed up for the occasion~

Daddy did this to our beautiful Anabeth! I thought she was the joker, but I guess she's a shark instead!

Poor little Kora ran into her sister, and ended up with a black eye!

Trevor tired out, after all the computer work he's been doing! ha!

Batman & Joker & our Horse woman~

Trevor saw part of Batman the other night, and of course loved "the joker"~

Emmie attended Horse Camp this week and loved it. Now, she's wanting a horse of her own~ She called and told me all about it, and I could believe all the horse lingo she's learned! Very cute!

Cole is batman of course~

Britton's are back in Idaho

Mallorie had another lose tooth, which I tried to talk her into pulling when we were in NC---but she wouldn't let me~ So today, after they flew into SLC, they stopped to eat and while biting into her hamburger, her tooth came out!!

Lucy was so happy to see her family! However they were all worn out, after flying all day~

Lake Norman, NC

Jeremy waiting to go out on lake~

Myrle & Emmie Rae

Misha pondering~

Jeremy, Derik & Kade~

Papa, Mallorie & Emmie

Emmie Rae trying to hide~

Derik & Taryn got a new boat~ Derik has wanted one ever since they've moved to the area--So we're glad he finally got one~ I know they'll have all kinds of fun this summer~

North Carolina

Misha, Jeremy & Mallorie watching the "American Doll" fashion show~

Emmie showing off her doll's new outfit. We found a store in Lancaster (Amish land) that had clothes for the American girls dolls--Normally they are really expensive, but these were made by nice little Amish women!

Mallorie~
Kora in one of the little shirts I made her~ Matches her skirt perfectly!

Storie, Kora & Cole

Storie will spent an hour drawing/coloring on one piece of paper! Wearing one of the little shirts I made~

Love this picture of Cole, he's tired, but fighting sleep--! He's such a cutie!
Miss Kora, she's getting to be the little blond--out in the sun so much!

Kora is really into this movie!

Intercourse, PA

Our Amish buggy~

Karter, Emmie, Kolby & Mallorie~Emmie wearing one of the shirts I made~

Emmie, Kolby & Mallorie--I have no idea where Kade was!

Taryn & Karter, mid sentence~ I challenged Karter while we were on our trip. Told him if he could speak proper English, without using the word "like" every other sentence, I'd give him $20.00---each time he said "like" I deducted a dollar---Needless to say, I didn't have to pay him a dime--he couldn't speak without using the word like, like, I don't know what is like wrong with these kids like nowadays!! ha!

More Amish pictures

Kolby on our buggy ride~

Mallorie & Emmie on our buggy~

Another cool barn/farm

This brick structure is actually a barn too--the slits in the sides are where the farmers used to put their guns through, so they could kill the Indians!!! Can you believe that?

Amish, PA

These farms are just amazing--We were so surprised to learn that they don't water anything--Yep--no lawns, or even crops--just depend on rain! Can you imagine?? Coming from the desert, this was such a shock for us~

Love the barns--

Kade in our Amish buggy~ We were taken on a hour buggy ride--it was great seeing all the countryside--but very annoying to have cars pass us so fast==as if they were annoyed~

Our Amish buggy driver--They don't usually like their pictures taken--however I didn't ask~

An old covered bridge==We thought of Bridges of Madison County!
We also ate at a real Amish home--Sally and her daughters made us a typical meal--It was so good: Homemade chicken & noodles (she called it pot pie--?) green beans, homemade bread, beef pot roast, potatoes, homemade applesauce, some jello fruit stuff, corn salsa for dessert: coconut cream pie & apple cake with cream cheese frosting~~
Our meal started with a beautifully harmonized song, she called it a prayer--then about half way through the meal, they sang again==! It was great to really experience the Amish life. The B&B we stay at, were Amish growing up, but are now Mennonite==Eli & Barbara--she was great answering all my questions~

Galveston, TX

There were some beautiful homes in Galveston--I loved this one with all the old scrolling on it~

Pretty---but not Hawaii~ Once you've seen the beautiful water in Hawaii, it's hard to get excited about beach water in the mainland--This looked really dirty to me~

Lots of newer homes right on the beach--which would be wonderful until a hurricane~

We saw these same birds in Florida~ They all wait for the shrimp boats to come in-then feast on the fish the fishermen throw out to them~

Our trip to Houston

Myrle--walking yet another beach!

Steve & Judi--she took tons of pictures of birds!

We are in Houston, Texas and it's been wonderful! My uncle Derry was buried here 40+ years ago....His wife, my Aunt Stella died back in Dec of 2010--so their children organized a memorial here in Houston, where her ashes were buried with Uncle Derry~It was so nice getting to see everyone==I think there were 23 of us here for the memorial~ We stayed at an Embassy Suites hotel, not too far from the cemetery.
It is sad to think that both Aunt Stella & Uncle Derry are gone too--but wonderful that they are together again~ Of course hearing things like this doesn't help us much, when it comes to dealing with their passing! When my mom died, during my Kodi's wedding in the Arizona Temple, so many people made the statement, that it was "so wonderful to die in such a beautiful place" Well, there was nothing wonderful about it!!!!!! I now have such a hard time going to the temple~
It was great seeing all my cousins, and hopefully we can keep in touch! I've told them, the next time we get together, it'd better be for a wedding, and not another funeral! We're counting on Debbie's beautiful daughters to carry this request out!
Today we went to Galveston. Myrle had never been there, so it was fun having him visit a new place! I think I have a picture of him, just like this from every single beach we've ever visited! ha!
Tomorrow we're on our way to North Carolina, where Misha & the twins will be waiting with Taryn's gang! We can hardly wait to see them all!

Houston, Texas

This is my "oldest" cousin Kay--She claims the honor of being the matriarch of the cousins~ We gladly let her have this title!

These are two of Uncle Jerry's daughters~ Gail & Sandy! I hadn't seen them, since we were little girls! It was great getting to see them~

This is Debbie & Kim~ Uncle Derry's daughters~ We're missing Derry's son, Greg~He couldn't be here because he is in Singapore working for a few months!

This of course is Aunt Harriet & Uncle Jerry! We're all excited--Aunt Harriet told us today, that when she turns 100 she's taking us all on a cruise! We fully expect her to keep this promise~~ She's 92 now, so only 8 more years!!!
