4 Wheeling~

We went to the dry land farm & rode quads~ The weather was perfect--cloudy, a few sprinkles, but just nice!! It's really beautiful out in this area--Myrle's family actually had a homestead out here, many years ago! They no longer grow anything out there, used to grow pinto beans! His brother has some horses out here now~ There is NO ONE out there, so it's the perfect place to ride & ride & ride!!

Trevor looking a little upset, I don't think he was ready to quit!

Christtina & Trevor & Cole on the quad~
Cole took turns riding on all the quads, he did like mine (green ) the best because that's his favorite color!

Cole & Trevor Fishing

Trevor catching his first fish~

Cole catching his first fish~

Christtina and the boys are here in Colorado with us for a visit--Recently my brother talked to a man, who ask him if he knew of any kids that would like to go fishing--He has a pond loaded with Rainbow trout, that need to be caught, cause they'll freeze this winter~ Anyway, I called and arranged a fishing afternoon~ The boys had a ball! They caught 7 or 8 fish, one was 18 inches long, I think Christtina caught it--Anyway these people were so nice~ We visited, and talked, and after fishing we took them back to their house, and they showed us how to clean them~ We cooked 2 up there, on their grill, and brought the rest home and cooked them! Delicious!! Anyway, it was great being able to catch them right away--wish all my other grand kids could have been here with us!!

Trevor had a gun, just in case the fish wasn't dead~ ha!

The Bellinghams, Killians & Taryn & Derik~

Kade looking like "trouble"~

We got back from Salt Lake City yesterday, and I didn't take a single picture of the kids!! We had a wonderful time, shopping & eating! We went to the outlets at Park City, and Gateway shopping~ Met up with one of Jeremy's childhood friends for dinner, and also his aunt and uncle, who are moving to Utah!
We saw my good friend, Cathy Magleby and her husband Paul. Spent the night with them on Monday night and went to the movie "The Help".
Taryn's crew went to VA and had all kinds of fun on the River James~ So, I have pictures of them!

1st Day of School

Mallorie & Kolby's first day of school~ Sure wish my other children would send pictures~ Taryn!!!
Trenton doesn't start school until after Labor Day which is the way it should be~
Mallorie was a little nervous about starting again, but it didn't bother Kolby one bit! They will be in the same class room again this year, which seems to work for them~Kolby can take care of his sister. Ha!
Looking forward to seeing them this weekend in Salt Lake City!

Missing my Dad

My cousins son just posted this picture on Facebook, so I took it too~I have never seen it~ This is my cousin's husband, Jim, my Dad sitting, Greg & uncle Jerry. It was taken at my cousins daughter's wedding in CA. It was fun, Kilee and I flew out to LA--My Dad and uncle Jerry picked us up from the airport~ I thought we'd never get to our hotel~They didn't know where they were going, and when uncle Jerry got on the freeway, he got into the fast lane and probably went 80mph--hard to see where to get off, when you're in that lane and going that fast~! Kilee & I were in the backseat holding hands and praying!! We did make it, and enjoyed seeing everyone at the wedding~Makes me miss him so much whenever I see pictures of him~

Maui

Ok--I couldn't stand it anymore, so I booked a trip to Maui! We'll be going over in October! For the past 2 years we've been over to Hawaii--and I just couldn't imagine not going over again this year. This will be our third island! I've loved both Kauai & Oahu & would return to either in a heart beat! Yet I want to visit the other islands, so I can pick a favorite~

Penny Ray & son Kyle

This is a picture of my friend Penny Ray Livingston & her son Kyle~ Prior to going to CA I had a little get together at my house~ Penny & Elaine Campbell Brown came for dinner~ I cooked all the Amish stuff from my cookbooks! It was great getting together with them. Penny brought year books, and old high school newspapers, plus pictures from the last class reunion. Amazing how old we all are!! ha! Penny is a teacher at the old high school here in Colorado, and she's the oldest teacher there!! Isn't that crazy? Elaine lives down the road from us, so while we were out of town, she came and harvested our garden! I don't have a picture of her~ I regret not taking pictures that night!

Cathy & Paul & granddaughter

Last night we met with our good friends, Cathy & Paul Magleby. Cathy was my good friend in high school, she was in my wedding, and I was in hers~ When I left Colorado, to attend school in AZ she also went to AZ-
We have so many good memories~ They were getting ready to celebrate their wedding anniversary, so it was especially fun talking about all those years ago, when we met them at the Salt Lake City temple, for endowments, and then onto Manti temple to be married. Awww---Where did all those years go??

Colorado

Myrle had a hard day working the farm! Ha! We've been enjoying fresh green beans, carrots, tomatoes, & sugar sweet peas!! Looking forward to the corn~ Can you believe his skinny legs??

Trenton's teacher drew this of him last year. This was one of his first male teachers, and he loved him~ What's not to love! He's my special guy!

Little Nolan (who will soon be 1 yr old) was tired of waiting for food! ha!

Cole & Trevor looking like little Amish boys! ha!

CA trip to the beach~ Half Moon Bay

Kevin helping the kids with sand castles~

Dane, Trenton & Jeremy
Trenton~ It was great getting to see him! He spent the night at our hotel, so it was fun catching up!

Kevin & Anabeth~ She loved the beach & sand!!

Helen with Nolan! It was so cold at the beach that day, but they had a wonderful umbrella, that kept the wind from freezing us!

Dane & Nolan--Not sure why Dane didn't have his eyes open?

Mr. Dane--He wasn't fond of the water, but loved the sand~

Myrle's skinny bones were freezing!

Trenton!

I think this beach, and the sky looks a little like the movie "The Road"--It's just never pretty--always dreary, and dirty~ I just want Hawaii and the beautiful beaches and water!!! Still the kids had a good time, while the adults froze!!

Our Visit to San Francisco/Kevin's

While we were in CA, Cole was sick--poor baby, he laid around and slept all day, which isn't Cole!! Not sure if he's cutting new teeth, or what's going on?

This was from April--I think Nolan has grown more now~ such cuties!

Nolan & Papa playing legos~ We like to start them out young! ha~

Not sure what Anabeth is thinking, but it's trouble, I'm sure!! ha~ She's very hard to get pictures of~ Her hair is so curly, it's so cute~

Cute family picture of Lena, Kevin, Anabeth & Nolan~

Mr. Nolan has blondish hair and BLUE eyes!! Not sure where it came from??

Kodi's Jeremy

Jeremy was playing softball yesterday afternoon, and was hit by someone trying to throw the ball to 3rd base--Must have been an awful throw--They hit him right in the head--he fell to the ground, couldn't see out of his right eye, and was bleeding out of his nose, as well as above his brow! Kodi was there, fortunately, so they took him to the ER where he spent the night for observation. They did a CAT scan, and didn't find any fractures to the skull--but bleeding around the brain! Scary! He was released today, and we pray he will recover quickly~

I felt like I should post a before and after picture! I've always thought he was such a handsome guy~ I tease Trenton all the time that he's my boyfriend!! ha!

Trenton was sooo mad at whoever it was that hit him! Of course he did alot of crying too~ Meanwhile, Trenton is playing football this year!! Great!! Grandma's just worry too much~ You can tell I didn't have boys that played football!!
