Almost last but not least--Dane!! He's such a character! I miss him! Speaking of little characters--I talked to Kevin last night, and he had to tell me the latest Anabeth story. Kevin recently went to China for work, when he got back, Helen asked Anabeth where daddy had gone, and Anabeth said "Vigina"! Love them~

Mallorie was already student of the month~~
However yesterday was an exciting day~ After the awards ceremony, we got a call telling us the school was "on lock down". Of course we immediately thought the worst~ But the announcement continued to tell us that there had been a robbery in the neighborhood, and because of that they locked the school down..which meant, all the kids had to meet in the cafeteria and wait! Mallorie and Kolby said they heard about 10 shots!! So we assume the police got the robbers! There was nothing on the news, that we saw. Haven't checked out the paper yet this morning---I would think there would be something about it!!! Misha is ready to keep the kids home, and home school!

Ute Mountain

I'm missing Colorado~ and the mountains! I guess it's been a mild winter in Colorado this year! I thought these pictures of the Ute Mountain were beautiful! When I was a kid I would swing on the swing set, and look at these mountains! I think they're beautiful! I guess I will always find a peace in Colorado, that I don't find here in AZ.

Kabana

While on our cruise in December, I discovered Kabana~ The designer, Stavros Eleftheriou, started making his jewelry in 1975. He makes some beautiful rings! He is from Greece, and came to New Mexico to learn jewelry making from the native Americans. He uses all natural stones/shells etc. Still lives in Albuquerque, and is neighbors with Taryn's sister in laws parents!! (Who happen to be distant relatives~)

Kolby's treasure chest cake

Kolby had to make a cake for Scouts/pack meeting~ He chose this treasure chest, which was fun to make, nice to look at, but didn't taste that great!! They were a little disappointed that they didn't win a BEST CAKE award. They all got certificates for entering---very PC/ In Idaho they go all out, and someone actually wins, and they don't care if someone gets their little feelings hurt!!
Misha and Jeremy have noticed so many differences here in AZ since moving back~ People at church are much more friendly in Idaho! Our ward has never been very friendly, but I guess it all starts with us! WE need to be a little more outgoing~

Kora is 3

Waiting to blow out the candles~ I can't believe this little cutie is already 3 years old! Seems like her birth was just yesterday~ We had her birthday party at Kilee's with wonderful things to eat, as well as cupcakes!

Sweet Sixteen!

My Bailee had her sweet sixteen birthday~ This isn't a date, however he drove considerable distance to come and go to the church dance with her~

We aren't ready to see her go out on dates!! At this point it will be group dating~ If I had my way, I'd lock her up for a few years!!

Trevor & Christtina were in a wedding this past weekend. Trevor looked so cute in his new suit, shoes, and orange tie~ HOWEVER--what were they thinking dressing these little girls in these outfits! I get the look they were going for, but it didn't work for little flower girls in my book!!! They didn't even fit!

I don't know where this is, but it looks like he's in Heaven, or at least in the clouds! I have to take pictures off his facebook, because his mother never sends me pictures of her children!!

Strange Weather~

This looks like the bus we toured on when we were in Rome~ I'm so glad it wasn't snowing when we were there~
It must be a sign of getting old, but I am more & more aware of the weather~ Didn't seem that interested in it when I was younger~ But now I check on it several times a day, especially where all my kids live. Taryn says they've had rain in NC, but it's unusually warm--& in New York City, the flowers are blooming~They've hardly had any snow this year in Idaho, which is funny since Misha & Jeremy left because they hated the weather so much. Even Kodi in OR has been having a mild winter~ & here in AZ it's been like Spring~

Nasty Weather!

Myrle & Jeremy are home from their Idaho trip~ This is a pic of what they ran into~The roads were really bad~

When they got into Colorado, Thurs night, our heater wasn't working! Fortunately I have space heaters, and electric blankets. So, they weren't too cold that night. When they got back to Colorado, Sat. the heater man was supposed to have been there and fixed it, but as it turned out, he didn't get there to fix, until today~

Meanwhile, the people who were buying Misha's house backed out! She was major depressed all day Friday! I'm still mad about it. Their bishop up there was their relator, and I still think he knew what was going on, and didn't bother telling them!! So, now the house is on the market again! Hopefully it will sell soon!

Mallorie & Kolby

It's been great having these two around. You hardly know they are here~ They help do chores without having to ask twice~I get lots of hugs (especially from Kolby)~I guess it's just nice for an old grandma to have something to look forward to~

Christtina is expecting a new little one in Sept. So we are all excited for this event. She is planning a home birth! Which of course pleases me~ Phillip isn't entirely convinced yet! She is still working on him~

Myrle & Jeremy will go to Idaho Falls this weekend to pick up the rest of their stuff! It'll probably snow a ton! The weather has been so dry, and mild this winter so far, but since they're heading up there, it'll be their luck!

Our Kevin is in town for a quick trip~ Haven't got to see him yet! Wish he could have brought the rest of his family too~

Well, as you can see, I'm struggling to post anything of importance! So, I'll end this!

Mars Needs Moms~

Last night Christtina & the boys came over, and we watched the movie "Mars Needs Moms". It was so cute, definitely a "boy" movie! Trevor snuggled up next to me on the couch, and didn't move, or really even talk~He really enjoyed the story, about a little boy, who didn't think he wanted a mom, until the aliens from Mars took her away~Very cute movie. I think it may be on his birthday list~
Yesterday was Kolby & Mallorie's first day of school here in AZ~ I think they did better than I did~ I just hate school~~ One reason I home schooled~ I think their innocence is just taken away. Kolby came home telling that several little boys had their ears pierced!! White trash is all I can say!! Who would do that to a little 3rd grader? Mallorie has a man teacher. Unusual for elementary~ But she likes him so far! They had wonderful school teachers in Idaho Falls, so this is going to be very different for them. Kolby had a teacher who played church music softly as a background~ Her class was amazing, and he learned so much that year~
It's hard being a grandma, and having no say so with grand kids!! ha!!

Happy Birthday Anabeth!

Today is Anabeth's 4th birthday~ I can't believe 4 years have passed since she was born. I remember how pleased we all were when she was born. Kevin cried--we all cried! I loved seeing my oldest son become a daddy~ and of course seeing Anabeth in the arms of her mommy! Wish we could see more of them~ It's so hard having grand kids so far away~!

On Christmas Eve we went to the Shrek Ice at the Gaylord Palms. It was 9 degrees--and cold!! They provided everyone with these lovely coats, which were very warm. It was amazing all the things they carved out of ice blocks!! After seeing all the ice carvings we had a wonderful dinner at one of the restaurants in Gaylord Palms--we also saw gators & fish inside this huge place!!
