5 Things You May Not Know About Me!

1. I started dating my husband when I was in the 8th grade (He was a senior)
2. I attended 12 different schools, while growing up/ This explains why I hated school & home schooled my children!
3. After I had my third child, my father offered to take me to Germany, and buy me a new Porsche, if I wouldn't have any more babies. I went on to have 3 more, and never did get my Porsche.
4. I hear voices~in my head~~ I have trouble sleeping because songs repeat in my mind! Usually getting up, and playing the song will cure it/ but sometimes it doesn't help.
5. I love Richard Gere! I know, his politics are horrid, but I have loved his acting for a very long time! He's sorta the bad guy that I've always secretly wished for! Ha! I even dreamed once that I had his baby!

Independence Day!

We're having fun in Colorado! On the 4th the big kids went river rafting, and had all kinds of fun! Grandma stayed home with the littler ones, and Bailee who is scared of river rafting, or anything too fast and fun! Ha! All of the cousins are having fun spending time together!

5 Things I Love about Grandchildren

1. I can sit back,watch,listen and know that they will go home!
2. Telling them stories of things their parents did when they were kids!
3. Each of them having such different personalities!
4. Snuggling and spending time one on one with them!
5. Listening to their wonderful prayers, and being surprised that they are so in tune with our Heavenly Father

The Rise of Zion

I am reading my new book~ and it's wonderful. It's funny we had all talked about wanting to live with the Amish when the end of the world, as we know it, comes. Well, in the first few pages, low and behold, one of the characters meet up with an Amish man!! The books are really good, and very short reads! Only about 200 pages each!

Sad Sunday!

Well, I’ve slept most of the day! Kilee & Phillip and their little ones came over tonight for Father’s Day, which is always wonderful- But Kodi, Trenton & Dane went back to OR early this morning. So, I’ve been sad and depressed all day! I just hate having my kids live all over the country, yet I’m happy that they are all independent, and manage without me! It’s just awfully hard on my heart. But the good news is that Taryn and the kids will be here on Tues. night. It’ll be busy and loud around here again.

5 Things I Love to Do

1. Snuggle clean babies to sleep!

2. Go to Estate Sales, and Garage Sales.

3. Go to bed with a good book, and clean, fresh sheets!

4. Cook wonderful dinners, for my family and friends.

5. Talk politics with friends, family, and even husband!

Dane

We are enjoying Kodi, Dane & Trenton in Colorado. Dane is probably the loudest baby I've ever known. He is constantly making noise!! We said he is working those vocal cords, to become an opera singer someday! Ha! He is also a jumper! He loves to jump, and it's hard to get a still pic of him. Dane has big blue eyes (his blue berries!) and cute little dimples.

On one of my trips to Salt Lake City, we were at Costco, and there was an author signing books! I had never heard of him, but took a chance, bought the book, and he signed it for me. I'm reading it now, and I've really enjoyed it. It's in the future and there is a terrible disease called cobalt, which basically kills everyone in the world! Except a rare few~

5 Things I've Learned

1. I'm much happier when I'm following the commandments. People have to have a plan, and Heavenly Fathers is perfect!

2. You have to let go of your children, and let them make their own decisions and make their own mistakes, regardless! We are only in control of ourselves!

3. Speak up or Speak out! Too many times we don't complain, we just let things slide, and that's one reason our country is in big trouble! No one speaks up against wrongs they see.

4. Early to bed, Early to rise, makes a man Healthy, Wealthy and Wise! ( Well, at least Healthier!)

5. Enjoy the trip~ I travel a lot, and I've finally learned that the minute we hit the road, the fun begins. We don't have to hurry and "get there" to enjoy ourselves.

OK--you know it alls--who is the pretty lady Michelle is giving the dirty look to? This pic was on Drudgereport, but with no explaination?? I'm sure all of you Hollywood followers know~ Anyway Michelle is sure giving her some nasty look!

5 Things That Annoy Me

1. Drivers who hurry to get around you, so they can turn right at the very next turn or stop at the stop light next to you!
2. Standing in line at the store, having them open another cash register, and everyone behind you (who haven't been standing and waiting as long) running to the new register!
3. Bishopric who get up after everyone has given their talks, summing things up, and adding their 2 cents, like perhaps the speakers just didn't do it well enough.
4. DJ's on the radio who talk through the last few seconds of a song!
5. Going through the "drive through" ordering/paying then having them tell me to drive around to the front, and they'll run out my order!!

New Series

Ok--I should be a librarian--I just finished the first book of this new series. It's modern day, and the saints have been called together to go build the "New Jerusalem". So far I'm enjoying them. The 3rd book comes out June 10th--So the timing is perfect~
I've always wondered how the saints would be called to go, and realized there would be a great testing of the members prior to the trek back to MO.

Cole & Trevor

Time to update pictures of Cole and Trevor. Cole is growing so fast~ Every time I see him, he's a little heavier! Trevor loves boxes to play in, as most kids do, I guess. Christtina's sister in law, Jessica took these pictures of Cole. She does wonderful work! I would love for her to be able to take some of Taryn's kids!

4. Visits from my Dad and grandkids!
